I would just like to start off by saying... I am not trying to start any type of debate here... I am making this post because it is an accomplishment I have been trying to reach since 1995. I can and will respect your opinion if you are not a fan of Playboy.. but... I only want positive feedback on this post. I will delete any and all rude or negative statements. Thank you for respecting my request....I am a professional photographer who has been shooting and submitting models to playboy since 1995... Finally...After al these years and many thoughts of giving up...I received a phone call from one of the editors of Playboy. She asked me If my name was Stewart Smith and if I was the one who submitted the images of Mei Ling Lam. With much excitement I said YES!! YES I AM!! HOW CAN I HELP YOU??!! She then told me hey liked her look and wanted to contact her... The rest is history... ( and I mean that literally ) She then contacted Mei Ling and they flew her off to LA for a week to test shoot her.... A week later... She found out she was in and got flown out to LA again for her spread.... Mei Ling let me know that she was cast as MISS JUNE....!!! My first centerfold and the first centerfold from MAINE!!!


There is alot more to this story but I have to wait until June to tell the rest of the story but it only got better!!

A few weeks after Mei Ling returned from LA... The story caught fire and was all over the internet!! I had newspapers and tv stations calling me for images of Mei Ling and to also interview me since I was the one who did all the leg work to make his happen... I have known Mei Ling since she was 15.... I met her when she was doing pageants.... I shot her pageant the year she was runner up and then the year she won MISS TEEN USA... I did all of her head shots and promo shots... I then did her modeling portfolios and her senior picture when she was in high school. We have always gotten along and are like family... We are definitely a "TEAM" and have always had each others backs throughout the years.
It's crazy how this all came about... Mei ling was living out of New England and we would talk frequently... One day she called me and asked me what i was up to... I just got done doing a test shoot for a model who wanted to submit pics to Playboy.... Mei Ling and I laughed about how people would go nuts if she did it... A few weeks later.... Mei Ling called me back and said she wanted to do it... I said do what?? She said playboy... and we both broke out laughing... I thought she was kidding but..She was serious.... She told me she was coming home for a few days and wanted to shoot for it... Once again..The rest is history!!

Mei Ling is a great girl... She doesnt swear and goes to church... She is a christian... She is very open minded and doesnt believe in bullying... on that note. Please respect Mei Ling and I on our celebrating our accomplishment... Keep in mind.. They only accept 12 models a year in playboy...We're talking thousands of girls trying to do what we did!!

Maybe you don't want to submit pics to playboy but want them for yourself or somebody special in your life... I do boudiour shoots for personal needs as well. As long as you are over the age of 18... It doesnt matter what kind of shape or if you think you are to old..I always say....You're never to old..Just have fun!!
